Hello, I’m looking for some clarification on Georgia general standards for LE applications if anyone knows. Joining LE wasn’t really always my career goal but over the last couple years of taking some criminal justice courses as a pathway part of my degree,(Cybersecurity, pathway of Cybercrime) I’ve developed more interest. The problem is that 2 of my rejections didn’t give me a reason for rejection and the most recent cited drug usage. I used marijuana a handful of times at 16/17 (7-8 years ago) and LSD literally 1 time when I was 16. Is that a permanent disqualified in all of Georgia? I have to assume that’s what DQ’ed me from the other 2 departments but they didn’t say. Is it a 10 year thing and I should keep applying in 2 years or am I SOL?

Never give up keep on trying if it’s your dream or passion don’t let anything stop you. Start looking for smaller departments that are further away from home. Look for departments that don’t pay the best and don’t have the best equipment and vehicles.
