Sooo a weird one indeed, yesterday i had my friends over and we playing truth and dare (drunk) and one of my (f22, now married) friend/cousin (she’s both, i tried to make the title a little less complicated) admitted to me that she assaulted two of our young cousins (both f 16) a few years ago. It kept on happening for a few weeks (she went there every weekend and assaulted them in their home)
She was laughing and everyone got serious when she started to admit to it, we’re all family friends, she admitted to fingering the girls (both 5-6 at that time) and smacking their asses, pressing on their genitals, kissing them and sqeezing the genitals while forcing them to be naked.
I’m deeply disturbed with the info that i have and i have no idea what to do with it. Do i tell someone? Or do i keep it a secret? Both the girls have been shy all their lives and it’s very unlikely that this will ever come out.

They’re probably shy for a reason, I’d talk to them as well, ask them if anything with that cousin ever happened. They may have blocked out the memory, but I’d still report your cousin, especially if she’s married and going to have kids…
If she was under 12 at the time. Nothing will come of it. Can’t charge a child under 12. And the girls will have to make a statement. Talk to the cousins. It was their experience. They may not want it to become public. Or may not even remember.
A juvenile charge as an adult 10 years later is rare.
How old and what is the age difference between the kids and the older cousin at the time? I would definitely talk to the little cousins and ask them if they remember it? Ask them if they want to press charges because that’s messed up..

How many adults were in this room during the admission? Goodness, someone….report her.
How old is she? If they are 16 now and were 5-6 when it happened, it was 10 years ago, so her age is extremely relevant for legal reporting requirements. If she was an adult or even past puberty when it happened, it needs to be reported to the police. If she was 8, it’s a very different situation.

You need to report this ASAP, and investigation needs to be done by the correct authorities. DO NOT talk to the younger cousins about this. You don’t want to taint any possible memories of what happened.
They will need professional help as well. The sooner you report this, the better.
