Especially when I find a new favorite song . If I’m cleaning, working or driving etc.. I’ll listen to the same song 5-6times on repeat until it becomes background music. Ofcourse friends and family find it annoying so I try to listen privately. Just wanted to see if I was alone on loving a broken record 😂

I listened to Pink Floyd The Wall album on continuous repeat for the entire summer of 1980 so … 🤷
Eveytime I find a new song I haven’t heard and I like, I’ll play it on repeat and I’ll play it for everyone I know. Some recent ones, edge of the ocean by Stick Figure, Apocalypse by Cigarettes after sex, dancing in the flames (acoustic version though) by The Weekend and California Stars by Wilco and Billy Bragg.
I have Sirius XM in my car. I have a reset button that I can press to go back to the last song. It’s the best thing when my favorite song comes on and I want to play it again and again. I can only do this when I drive alone, obviously.
Yeah, a lot of people have ADHD
Right now it’s the Motels-Only the lonely
I’ve listened to the same song on repeat for days….many times.
I have a couple of different songs I will listen to on repeat. Depends on the reason and mood.
My husband does. Then he gets it stuck in my head lol
Yes I’ve listened to the same song like 20 times in a day before. Sometimes I’ll find 3 songs i love and I just repeat those for a while.
i feel like everytime i hear a flawless song – i listen again and again and again and either get lost in it or it feels like everytime i hear it – i’m listening to it for the first time all over again
Raye – Oscar winning Tears (Live at Albert Hall)
has been on repeat for months and I can’t get enough.
Quite often, I get into a groove and listen to it on repeat for days or weeks. My Spotify stats are so weird
Pictures of you- The Cure
Oh, absolutely! I’m all about binge-listening when I find a song that I just connect with. I’ll play it over and over until I know every beat, every lyric. It’s like the theme song of my life for that moment. I remember when I discovered "Good as Hell" by Lizzo. I must have listened to it like 10 times in a row while doing my makeup, and by the time I was done, I was feeling like a queen. And yeah, I totally get the need to listen in private, ‘cause not everyone appreciates the art of repetition like we do, haha. There’s just something so comforting about getting completely lost in a song and letting it be the soundtrack to whatever you’re doing. It’s like taking a mini emotional trip over and over.
I’m 38. The “eras” of my life so far are defined by the song that I was listening to aggressively at that point in time. I’ll listen to a song on repeat thousands of times.
Yup same, I’ve gone months listening to the same song on single repeat when I was still commuting. It helped numb the pain of the traffic and the crowd.
Currently doing that with Bon Iver’s “Walk Home”…such a beautiful song
Oh yes, when I find that song that just hits the exact right nerve for me I can go days listening to it on an endless loop.
To name a few….
Right On – The Roots;
Parallel Universe – RHCP;
Shadow – Chromatics;
By The Mark – Gillian Welch;
Anything Can Happen – The Clean;
Only For You – Heartless Bastards;
Caught a Lite Sneeze – Tori Amos;
Gone Baby Gone – Erykah Badu;
Northern Star – Hole;
I Touch Myself – Divinyls;
Train – Vashti Bunyan;
Nickel Song – Melanie;
Suneye – T. Rex;
Sound and Vision – David Bowie;
Big Sky – Kate Bush;
Midnight Train to Georgia – Gladys Knight;
Hungry Eyes – Eric Carmen; Kokomo – Beach Boys; Apocalypse – Cigarettes After Sex
lol your definitely not alone. Last years Spotify wrapped had the song “Damages” by Tems claim it’s #1 spot for the 4th year in a row. Doja cat has been slowly creeping up the ladder coming second. It’s silly because it’s usually just one song that’s pulling up the artist. Whatever tends to be my favourite after months of listening gets put on repeat multiple times even in a queue of songs.
I do this a lot. I also rewatch shows a lot. I think it’s because I have anxiety and I prefer things to not be unpredictable.
👋that would be me. Last summer I played "Too Sweet" by Hozier for 8 full hours. Love that song.
I imagine Alexa rolling her eyes as I ask her to play a song for the 461st time. Or a snarky "again?" I add them all to a playlist called earworm that is made up of songs that spent way too much time on repeat
Yes.
I obsessively listened to Both Sides Now after watching Joni Mitchell sing it at the Grammys, then on the way home from out of state I was looking for a meme and then heard Birds of a Feather from Billie Eilish then played that almost every day, then I heard a Francis And The Lights song at a Kamala Harris rally so I obsessively listened to that, lol
I’ve always been this way! Get super obsessed with a song, listen to it on repeat for months, and then… stop. Most recently, I’ve been burning through popular songs like crazy: anything from Chappell Roan or Sabrina Carpenter, Hosier’s Too Sweet, Benson Boone’s Beautiful Things, and Doechii’s Anxiety…
Yes. Sometimes I get a song stuck in my head (esp a new song) and the only way to get it out is to play it on repeat so much that I get bored of it.
When I find a new song that I really like , I have this short infixation with it…Like I would listen several times a day until I get sick of it.
No it ruins music for me so I stopped doing it. Tired of some of my favorite songs becoming annoying
Yep. I do it so I can memorize the lyrics and it’s always driven people crazy.
Once in a while I will do this. Usually when I’m on my laptop browsing instagram or shopping online. And usually it’s a song I forgot about and haven’t heard in forever.
Oh yeah, if I love a song, I’ll play it nonstop until I’m sick of it.

Have and still do for fifty years once play “ All these things I’ve come” for a month straight 24 7
Yes. 1 or several songs on heavy rotation until I’m sick of them and take a break for few months (while doing the same with other songs) until I like them again.
I have a flash drive in my truck with songs on it. When I’m alone I like to play “You Got It” by Roy
Orbison a few times because I like singing it.
Yes, I do that sometimes
Yes. Radio in heaven by Odds. Check it out. Better played at least 6 times.
