I wanna start by saying: I’m 14, but this isn’t exaggerated. most of this is from my actual research, facts, and outside opinions. Some of this may seem weird-worded but it’s because English isn’t my first language and I’m very deprived of the four things I need to have to survive. Plus off my meds.
My older sister is neurodivergent, her mental age is about half her actual one (15), I have no problem with this but it explains what I mean by raising my OLDER sister.
I always shared my room with her, I taught her about social situations, I sang her lullabies, I helped her when she asked, gave her advice, listened, comforted- basically everything our parents were supposed to do, but with the sisterly teasing since we still grew up together. I only realized it about 2-3 years ago around when I taught my little (4yo currently) how to walk.
