My grandmother has been gone for a long time, and she kept the weirdest things: old spice tins, magazines, newspapers, and bottles. The annoying part, I can’t bring myself to let go of certain items because I find them fascinating. There aren’t a lot of bottles or spice tins, but she kept a lot of old magazines and newspapers. She kept full magazines and newspapers from big events in history. So I have newspapers from the moon walk, JFK, Nixon, 2001, and the last one was Obama becoming president. She even kept a Sears catalog from the ’80s. I don’t have the heart to toss them out, but I hate the burden of having to find places to store them somewhere.
Does anyone else have a similar experience?

Some of those are worth a lot.
Having those newspapers sounds sooo cool I’m jealous.
I have a bit of similar experience, lost my mom and grandma a bit over a year ago, unfortunately they didn’tkeep much stuff like yours did but I can’t bring myself to get rid of anything of theirs. I’d ask yourself what is important to you but to honestly hesitate before getting rid of things- I know minimalism is a trendy thing, but I still have regrets about not keeping more of my moms things. You can always give it away, but you can never get it back, and some of that stuff sounds pretty special.
