I have been following events in Syria since 2015. The plot surrounding the war in Syria has been difficult for me to understand in some parts. So, I’ll ask you.
Is it true that part of the Syrian population did not like Bashar al-Assad? If yes, why?
I heard that Middle Eastern cultures are quite tribal, but I live in a very westernized country, so I would like you to explain that to me.
Bashar al-Assad’s Syria was quite secular and this gave protection to religious minorities, such as the Alawites, for example. What is your opinion?

Where do you live now, and if not in Syria, when do you intend on going back?
Do you have a social media only Syrians know about sort of similar to this which foreigners (by that I mean non-Chinese) wouldn’t stumble upon?
