It should be safe as long as you were there to monitor it. I wouldn’t recommend it near a blanket though because if something goes wrong and the other side gets covered by the blanket, is is absolutely a fire risk as the motor will overheat. But in general leaving a hairdryer unattended risks it breaking or overheating
I wouldn’t do that. It’s just asking for trouble.
Also, it’s a very inefficient way to do what you’re trying to achieve.
If you’re just trying to stay warm, make a pair of rice socks and put them under the blanket at the bottom/soles of your feet .. your extremities absorb cold and heat so after a minute or two you’ll get hot
Also makes a good time-of-the-month heating pad
I highly recommend a mattress heating pad. Like a mattress cover but it has heating coils in it.
They aren’t that expensive and the last one we bought worked great for 8 or 9 winters. They are very energy efficient, not much electricity. But you turn that on 15 minutes before bed and it warms the whole bed up. A real luxury for not a lot of money.
And definitely safer than a hairdryer. Please be safe.
