I graduated college at 27 so I already feel behind the 8 ball. Now I’m 29 and this was supposed to be my first legit job with a 65k salary. I imagined actually having fun this summer with adult money. Guess that’s off the table. I’ve always been kind of a fuck up and this was great opportunity to reset my life. An actual marketing career in consulting. Time to go get a part time restaurant job while I enter the job search again.
I don’t really have anything to ask. Just venting I guess. Life sucks sometimes.

Everyone starts somewhere.
65k may be the floor now, but if you think you should be valued more, find a different job.
4 interviews means you got close, real close so don’t see it as an absolute failure. Also, fuck em, their loss.
You’ll get the next one
I started at 64k out of college 10 years ago as an engineer in the Midwest. What degree do you have?
That’s some rookie Numbers! Keep trying and don’t give up
If a company needs 4 rounds of interviews to find out if a candidate is a good fit, I take that as a sign it isn’t a great place to work. Who knows, maybe you dodged a bullet and it was meant to be that you’d find a better place.
Keep applying, maybe the next spot will only need 2 interviews and perhaps they pay $70K.
HA. You think you’d have fun after you got a full time job
Just getting that far in the process should be a feather in your cap; I’ve had so many reviews that went nowhere, or places I applied to and never heard back. It took me 3 tries to get my current job (competitive govt spot). Keep at it bro
