I’ve been living a lie.

r/

About 10 or 11 years ago my mom had bought me a pair of jeans, that I’ve been wearing. They were my favorite article of clothing, easily. I wore them everywhere, and they’ve always been there for me.

I was wearing them the day I moved out. I was wearing them the day that I realized I had an alcohol problem. I wore them to my wife and I’s first date. Heck, I wore them yesterday.

Turns out they were women’s jeans, and not fashionably close-fitting men’s jeans, or unisex.

At least you’re honest about your drinking. The two may be connected though.

You should be impressed that you still fit in the same pair of jeans for 11 years.

Who cares? They’re fabric, you like them, and they’re yours. Case closed.

There are endless changes in women’s fashion and sometimes they will copy designs from fashion made for men. All that matters is that you like them! Your mom did a great job picking out something that suited you and had the quality to have lasted all of this time. Congratulations on your sobriety. It sounds like you’re doing well 🙂

Man, I used to have some jean shorts like that too. I slept in them shits, man. Eventually, I blew the crotch out them things. But ya can’t wear em everyday and expect for em to hold up. That was nice ass denim, too. I miss those shorts. But you- you gotta take em off every now and then! You gotta take em off, son!
