Hello! M/56/Canada, happily married and employed. No kids. Had my share of struggles, set backs, and loss along the way. Prefer to look on the bright side of things. Never did the college or university thing; lucked into public transit jobs at 20. Could retire as early as age 55, but realistically aiming for 60. AMA!
Just an older Canadian Guy, cruising thru life, AMA!

What’s the last conversation you had with a stranger?
Who do you think is a better candidate and why?
As a fellow municipal employee, does the economy have an impact on when you chose your retirement age or no? I’m 40 and come full pension eligible at 57, but also thinking maybe staying until 60. My decision is based on wanting more money in retirement to allow myself freedom to do more, not so much poor economy.
What do you plan to do when retired? Do you wish you had kids
Do you regret not going to college/uni?
Are you a fan of the leafs and/or jays?
As an older Canadian (who I’m assuming owns a home), how do you feel about the Canadian housing market? Are you glad that home prices are rising as that allows your home to act as an investment that’s yeilding significant return, or do you wish there were more housing (specifically affordable housing) to benefit the broader public, even if that meant your home’s value decreased?
Who would you say is your favourite Canadian celebrity who is an international icon?
Do you have other male friends your age?
