Im from the UK and after today hearing by the supreme court im so scared and worried about our future. I dont feel safe or supported anymore in the world and I feel this is just the start. I dont even know how to process this or start to understand. I dont know what to do or how to feel and I just have to go on about my days normally while i feel an impending doom of the future.
I cant talk to my family or friends as most dont get it and will just try to debate politics. This isn’t politics anymore. Its my right to live. And im scared i will lose my rights to live how i want.
I know thats all dramatic but its how i feel and i needed to get it out.

yeah, it’s infuriating. the thing is that, while yeah a lot of people just plainly hate women, i think a lot of these “issues” surrounding women like abortion rights, wage equality, whether trans women are women (when’s the last time you saw or heard an argument about trans men?) are just manufactured issues that government officials and the like make up to seize power. most people wouldn’t be so opposed to women existing peacefully if they weren’t told to be. and i’m sure there’s a feedback loop going on, where the created outrage is influencing the people in power, not just the general population, so they end up pushing back against equality because they believe in their cause, not just because they want a reason for people to give them power. i’m not sure if it makes sense but basically i think people would have a natural tendency to be accepting of others, if they weren’t conditioned into the opposite.
not enough voters? lie and convince the voters that the world is ending, but if they vote for you, you’ll save the world. i wish we weren’t so easily manipulated.
Hey fellow woman!I completely understand how you feel.Im not from the UK but i too, get to watch on a daily basis how governments keep passing laws that infringe on women,LGBT and any other discriminated against groups’ rights.
It truly makes me wonder if being alive is even worth it, to be honest.
It all seems bleak. And it is a battle that sadly many will not survive. BUT. There are people fighting for us all. Not just civilians but also people who DO have a place in every nations government.
This is the best and the most critical time, to show them all all the support we can.
And remember. You are not alone.
