No other details? Was the driver caught? If not, did anyone with a dash cam stopped and gave contact info? Did the police have any suspects?
If they were caught (or get caught later), you need to get an attorney (usually one that deals with traffic accidents) and they will find out how much insurance converge they have and go from there. They will also find if they have lots of assets and if they do, they can file a civil suit for wrongful death. They can even go after their home owner’s insurance if they have it.
