This could be an issue of regional availability. When you live in smaller or less progressive areas, the people in charge of ordering for retailers think more narrowly. Do you shop primarily in person or online?
I mean. You can pee standing up, so it’s only fair we get dresses with pockets.
alt stuff is about customization, so you can arguably take “normal” stuff and make it alt
men have lots of cool things too, like lots of leather jackets, biker vests, etc throw some chains on there
Also cross-dressing and androgyny is very big in alt spaces

You can layer a dark sweater over a collared shirt, and then put a pin onto the collar

You can also look at “Emo” or “Scene” or “Goth” bands for inspo, like Black Veil Brides
Side note, I think girls “get all the cool stuff” because women statistically spend more money on clothes and things like that, so the businesses need to make money off of them.
