In case you hadn’t noticed, Lorraine is something of a slut (a sexually uninhibited and experienced person in todays terms). Her parents are just glad she isn’t boning another unemployed loser but someone who seems to have joined the coast guard or something
They never got a chance to respond to her “He can stay in my room” line, Marty immediately jumps up, says he’s got to go and leaves. They agreed he should probably spend the night, but they likely would have insisted he sleep on the sofa or something.
As for earlier on, he was unconscious and she was simply checking on him, that’s a perfectly acceptable reason to be alone with him.
Plus, given Lorraine’s insistence that Marty put his pants back on suggests they are just like any parents who have a teenage daughter.
Because Lorraine is a good wholesome girl who would never do anything inappropriate.
