What are the commonly used restaurant booking Apps or websites?

We’re visiting west coast US in a few weeks. What are the commonly used restaurant booking Apps or websites? I know you use Open Table, but are there other widely use ones? Looks like Quandoo not used.

Just look up what one the restaurants you want to go to use.

A lot of places still use their personal website.

The only other one really is Resy which used to be higher end but is losing its luster

OpenTable or just the individual restaurant’s site.

I never use an app to book restaurants. I would call the restaurant to make a reservation if needed.

    OpenTable or the restaurant site.

Don’t forget to tip your server.

Go to the restaurant’s website. They will have their own system or an embedded link to whatever reservation system they use.

Apps are far less common in the US than Australia for this purpose, most people just call, some restaurants have the booking via their website.

I’ve never installed an app for this. Most restaurants just have their own booking service they link to from their website. A lot of them using things like OpenTable but it is far from ubiquitous and I doubt many use it for discovering restaurants as you have indicated you want to.

Find the restaurant on Google, there’s usually a button for reservation, click it and it’ll take you to the OpenTable or Resy or whatever.

OpenTable, resy and tock are the primary ones that I see(we dine out frequently).

Honestly I think the only app I’ve ever used is Resy.

OpenTable or Resy. Some use an app called Seven Rooms, but regardless, all restaurants that use these apps will just have a reservation link on their site that will either redirect you to the appropriate app or it’ll just be integrated into their own site. That said, if there’s a restaurant you want to go to that doesn’t have availability through an app, I’d call as they sometimes don’t put all of their tables online.

Start at the restaurant site. They’ll tell you if they use OpenTable, Resy, or their own system. Don’t bother with getting extra apps; the browser is all you need.

Needing a reservation is going to depend on the city you are in and the restaurant (my top 3 favorite restaurants in my city don’t even take reservations unless it’s over 8 people, and the more I think of it I can’t name anything off the top of my head that needs a reservation here)

    OpenTable, Resy, Tock

A lot of restaurants have options to book through their website, but use one of these apps/websites anyways

I check out places mainly with Yelp, then go for a Rez through the website of the restaurant which is half open table anyway.
