“if you killed him than you would be just like him” when referring to a fight with a villain. It’s just so annoying how much super heros hold back and are unwilling to kill their enemies. I’m their arrogant moral superiority gets them in so much more trouble

They suck but they become the guardrails of justice. Else the become a vigilante that makes the law murky. And when justice is murky society becomes murky

It really depends. If a hero doesn’t want to kill a villain who is willing to change and had a troubled past/abusive or alcoholic father/saw their child die in front of them/pregnant wife hit by a truck, then that doesn’t cross the line of being too morally righteous; he’s just showing morals that everyone should have. But if the hero is unwilling to kill a mass murderer or something, then that would cross the line.
