Please! tell me how to frame social science answers(TLDR at end) 🙏

r/

I post this from a place of desperation. I have been a student of History in my Bachelors and for my Masters subject, I opted for Museology. Our history final exams (of 3 hours) consisted of writing massive answers which inculcated chronology of events, viewpoints of historians, references from books, quotations etc. and often for a 20 mark answer I would write 5-7 pages. My total answer script would be around 30-40 pages both sides combined.

Now I am in a pickle. I have used the same format for my answers in my General Elective subject ETHNOGRPAHY. (My other elective subjects are anthropology and archaeology in which I face the same issues)

MY PROFESSOR HATES MY ANSWERS. I wrote large quotations, refences and big answers to explain my points as much as possible but NOTHING seems to satisfy her. She keeps praising the students from primarily scientific backgrounds about how well written their answers are. No, they will not help me and the class thrives off of competition with only one tightly knit friend group that dislikes outsiders.

I have never been secondary to someone and I absolutely despise not being at the top of my class. This is a first for me and my declining marks has started to affect my mental health. Despite all my research and efforts to frame the perfect answers it seems like I miss the mark every single time.

I request anyone, from a background with social science to please help me out regarding answer framing.

Thankyou.

[TLDR: I am from a humanities background (history honours) and I am struggling to frame answers related to the subjects of Ethnography, Anthropology and Archaeology and losing out marks. We have to write out subjective answers for finals so please provide advice to improve answer framing]
