I dropped out of university 4 years ago to become a self-made millionaire AMA

r/

4 years ago I dropped out of university, put all of my belongings in the trunk of my car and drove to Paris. I had 2000€ in my bank account, no job prospects and a dream. I am now 27 and own a business that runs okay-ish and am in the process of building my second one. Ask away!

You mentioned you have Photography Business. I have a few questions on this aspect.

    1. Could you let me know which type of Photography does your firm handle?
    2. How were you able to Make your Business unique? I would assume there are many Photography firms which wouldn’t have made it.
    3. Is your second business you about to start also based on Photography? If yes, how would it be different from the first one you already have.
    4. Finally do you take interns in your firm? (Asking as a someone who is interested in Photography)

    Thanks

I completed university to become a self-made billionaire. Haven’t got there yet – much like you, OP – but that’s the goal.

Did you intentionally choose a misleading title?

The way you wrote this sounds like you’re already rich.
    Good luck anyways.

You can’t say you did something to become a self-made millionaire if you aren’t one. There is a lot of ground between opening a business and getting to that point. Opening two separate ones? That could be the best or worst decision of your life.

In any event, the title is self-aggrandizing and pompous. Talk about what you’ve achieved before you talk about what you dream of achieving. Don’t act like it’s done when you have so far to go.

Honestly, the tone of your post implies a lack of maturity that might actually threaten your goals. I’ve never seen someone who talks bigger than they are, in a context like this, achieve anything of value. Get grounded. You’ll stand a better chance of success if you do.
