Ex-Best Friend will be called E for the time being (E changes pronouns later but is male. I am F she/her and will use they/them for E). E and I became friends in middle school (13 yrs old) and shared a small quirky friend group. E and I “dated” for like a week but we only ever held hands and kissed cheeks so eh. Dumb kid love. After middle school this group kinda fell apart but E and I remained friends.
E and I went to different high schools now (16 yrs old). E also had a gf that didn’t like me. They break up tho. E dates a friend of mine at my high school for a bit. They split up. E and I are friends still and high school friend ignores me for it (fair). However E now dates new girl and talks become less.
At some point E and I loose contact (prolly due to E’s gf) and don’t see each other again until 2nd year of college at a job we both happen to pick up (19 yrs old). E is struggling with gender stuff and gf is kinda a mess about it. I’m taken at this point and have been for a year or so now. We start talking more at work, it’s like we never left.
At this job I need a ride home and E only lives down the street from me. I try to tell E to tell their gf or somethin but they keep it secret. Guess what, gf finds out. Gf has them block me on everything and they end up swapping jobs. It sucks.
I check E’s page sometimes but it’s just for moments. They’re apart of a few project bands that post online and E seems to be doing good. I miss having a real good friend that I could talk to honestly but they made their choice I guess.
TL;DR My friends gf blocked me because we dated for a week in middle school even tho we were 19 and in committed relationships. We are now early 20’s and I’m still blocked. I check their socials when I can because I don’t have any other good friends besides my partner. Womp.
