Is there a word for the pain you feel when a tree you were used to is suddenly cut down?

r/

My landlord had several trees cut down one day and i was very sad about it for at least a week. I feel that way when a tree that i normally see on walks is gone too.

I guess you could say it’s a kind of mourning?

My neighbor had a very old, very large maple tree in his front yard that kept my driveway shady in the hottest parts of the day in the summer.

About 6 weeks ago, I came home for lunch to 3 boom trucks and a chipper, and just a stump.

Apparently it was too close to the power lines for the city’s comfort, and they paid for it to be cut down. Bullshit.
