First of all, Iโ€™m proud of you even when I donโ€™t know who you are. U are making a better person from yourself. Keep continuing down this journey, everything will be alright. Stay away from it, day by day you will get better both physically and mentally. Start hitting the gym, eat some real food and see more changes. I wish you the best man!

    Speaking strictly for myself…

Cigarettes: NO TELLING. Expect bumps in the road at 3 weeks, 3 months, and 3 years. Obviously, drinking, smoking weed, doing drugs will exacerbate the cravings. You also can’t add any nicotine whatsoever or your brain will be returned to full-blown addiction instantaneously. Even just one puff. You can use 5-HTP, Gaba, and Liquid B Vitamin complex to help your emotional state for the long term recovery. No nicotine replacement gum, etc.

Weed: Really not that big of a deal, you can get over that in several weeks if not sooner. Street level vapes are a different story and can significantly delay the withdrawal symptoms and sleeplessness for weeks. Definitely to be avoided.

Booze: Never goes away and will come back hard at any time. Mine was at 3 years total sobriety. I don’t regret starting again in moderation, just be super carful if you do.

AA is a great tool. Especially if you do what they call 90 in 90. You just need to recognize it’s essentially a cult that reinforces certain behaviors, emotions, and thoughts that are toxic. Use caution with who you associate with. Get out when you’ve learned enough to go out on your own.

Opiates: Going to be a real bitch. It really only takes a couple weeks to get over them but, goddamn those couple weeks are rough. Personally I never felt the long-term cravings for them once I gave them up. Nothing like cigarettes or weed.

Benzos: These are the bitch of the bunch and can really fuck you up in countless ways, and can even kill you as you kick. Again you’re looking at a few weeks to get over them but don’t have long term cravings.

Sugar: This can contend with the worst of them. It takes incredible courage, strength, resilience to beat sugar. Your looking at several months.

Caffeine: This can take several weeks to get over but eventually you stop needing it to get by in the morning, etc. If it’s reintroduced with any regularity, it will get the best of you until you cut it again.

Energy Drinks: You’re looking at a few days of withdrawal, pretty serious headaches sleeplessness, etc. You won’t miss them unless you really need something for working out.

    Well done mate. ๐Ÿ‘

Give it a few months, eat well and exercise and you’ll be back to normal soon, but baby steps! Don’t overwhelm yourself

Iโ€™m still very lost 5years after getting clean from everything. I also have an acquired brain injury from an accident during addiction so possibly I am just this way now forever ๐Ÿ˜…

Physically speaking Iโ€™m a new man, itโ€™s also nice to just be a normal dude that goes to the gym and cooks his own food pays bills etc.

I think a full recovery is absolutely possible within a few years if you have no major health problems to deal with

I am prescribed weed so not technically 100% clean but always sober

So proud of you! For me personally, the cravings never truly leave completely. I get moments here and there when I want to relapse, especially when times are rough. But trust me, it does get easier with time. Personally I wanna say the one year mark is when I could start telling people to lay off and they’ll respect my choice cause at that point I’m already one year sober.

Be ready for the cravings for sugar. Keep it up man you will be great at everything you do now. And the people around you will come along as well. If you don’t have support, get it. Get as many phone numbers as you can. And then get five more. Use them call them at any hour or the day and talk it out.

Gosh don’t take on too much at once okay!
Definitely kill off the bigger evils and if you have to slip up on the lesser ones… Do NOT feel down on yourself. That’s all I’ll say. Any time I tried to quit EVERYTHING. I usually failed. (not putting that on you)

You have all the goods vibes I can send your way. (I grew up in Southern California, it’s legal for me to say that….)
