There are some great Dutch horror movies (de lift, amsterdamned, sl8n8, etc), however not many about local folklore

Fucking most traumatizing Horror I ever watched. Danish couple meets dutch couple on vacation and then organize a vacation at the durch family house. Nightmare and anxiety galore
Sint is a Dutch horror movie about Sinterklaas (the OG Santa) and what happens when his bday is during full moon.
This I may take it a bit loosely, but I recommend “Verónica”, from Spain. It’s also (losely) based in a real case.

Due to Spain’s very Catholic past, concepts like devil possessions, ghostly processions, and witches (especially in the north) have always been part of our scary bed stories.

La bête du Gévaudan (“Le pacte des loups” 2001) and Gilles de Rais (“Monstrum” 2014) in France – both stories are semi-fictional, both have “supernatural” elements – as there were certainly some incidents, however neither can be blamed on the person or animal which was executed, and both probably resulted from serial murder and the government of the time trying to cover up political upheavals.
This, “The White Reindeer” is a bit older from 1952 but it’s indeed based on Sami folklore. It’s available to stream by the courtesy of Finnish National Film Archive with English subtitles. They seem to be listing 23 Finnish movies under the genre “horror”.
I haven’t seen it yet, but there’s a Czech film called Polednice / The Noonday Witch. It’s based around a Czech/Slavic folklore creature.
