Thoughts on the comment made by the LAFD equity bureau chief?

One of the things I’ve always been extremely curious about is how you and your colleagues deal with the gruesome things you see on the job. Do you just get use to it? I assume you lose new people on the job to it but have you ever seen a veteran who just couldn’t do it anymore? I’ve heard car wrecks are in many ways more gruesome than what is seen on battlefields. Do you think the auto industry is doing enough to improve passenger safety? Lastly, what are some good safety tips to follow if you are in an accident and what are some things that can save your life if you find yourself in one?

    Thank you!

What percentage of the calls you get are totally unnecessary? Not a serious injury or just someone wanting attention?

What percentage are related to the homeless situation?
