Most of those songs were rock/punk, and that genre is sadly not popular anymore. Rock died in the 2000’s imo. It’s all about pop right now. I do love me some pop music, but the genre will never produce a modern-day Proud Son or American Idiot.

Ministry released an entire album after the 2016 election, “Amerikkkant” that is very good, IMO.
The song “Twilight Zone” describes the emotions on the morning after the 2016 election, and is one of the better songs on the album.
Nothing like raging against those trying to defeat unelected bureaucrats! LOL

Those types of artists exist, they just don’t bubble to the top anymore. This is the part where I propose a wildly speculative reason for this… after grunge burned out with so many of the artists dying of heroin overdoses, suicide, and various other misadventures, I think the record labels wanted more control over the talent, essentially to form groups from scratch to avoid a failed ‘investment’ due to the volatile nature of homegrown talent. So they don’t really look for the hottest garage bands anymore, but have tried to homogenize music tastes to something more manageable, i.e. singular pop singers rather than three or four early 20-somethings all addicted to something with anti-establishment views. Again, this is all speculation.

There has been, they just aren’t on the radio. Find a local music scene like hardcore shows, festivals or raves, the anti-establishment culture is alive and growing. It’ll take longer than a couple months for an already popular act to release something like what you’re looking for, but recall Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl show was rife with imagery of dissent and warnings.
Music like this will be suppressed where possible, there’s greater incentive to not rock the boat when you’re already making millions for the record label. But there are lots of people out there speaking truth to power, you just need to be out in the community to see it right now.
Because most people are a lot more aware of performative politics today than they once were and would be less likely to listen to a millionaire pop artist with sponsors sing about how the common person needs to follow their politics.
You also have the issue that limited communication back in the day meant that criticism and satire from the average person was easier to drown out. Any purely political music today will immediately get memed to the point that it loses any kind of utility as a political protest song.
