However, when I got home, I was met with a slap, yelling match, confiscated bedroom door and phone. The next morning, I made her a coffee like I normally do. But she’s lactose intolerant so I used full cream milk and a laxative that was in the medical cabinet for my father’s constipation. For context, a he’s a swim teacher for kids. Half an hour after later, she comes home furious with soiled swimwear. Am I the asshole?

When you poison someone, you become the asshole. That’s not justifying what abuse you had to endure by your stepmother.

Yes, you poisoned her. If she’d contacted the cops and wanted to press charges shed have been within her rights.
I don’t agree that spanking kids is a good idea and I would never do it. However, it’s not illegal provided you don’t use undue force or cause injury and you were spanked because you did something wrong. You clearly knew you didn’t have permission to go out and your father must have agreed to your punishment otherwise he would have given you back your door.
You can never slip a prescription drug and an allergine into a persons food for any reason. Gosh it’s such a stupid thing to do. You were 100% liable for anything that happened as a result. If she’d had had a sudden terrible reaction to the laxative while driving and as a result swerved and died you have potential spent a large portion of your life behind bars.

There’s no excuse for the physical abuse, but what you did is illegal. Like, genuinely illegal, and one crime doesn’t wash out the other. The law doesn’t work that way. I’m gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and advise you not to tell anyone about what you did, for your own sake. Seriously, don’t tell your friends, no matter how funny or cool it seems, you could absolutely fuck yourself if you do. Take this advice. Don’t do shit like that again. YTA.

Edit to add that giving her dairy products was a dick move. Don’t fuck around with people’s allergies.

talk to your biological mom and dad about what’s going on and the harsh treatment you’re getting from your stepmom. you shouldn’t be getting slapped or your door removed. if your parents don’t listen, find someone to talk to at school. or call CPS.
