I have been playing D&D for 30 years and DMing for 28 in the same world. I love talking about my experiences with players and how each group and campaign affected my world as a whole. For anyone who knows about D&D my campaign setting is Faerun starting at 1051 DR and currently at 1957 DR running consecutively (I now call it a Homebrew Faerun) with some random foray into the domains of dread like Ravenloft, some venturing into Krynn and even Earth (That was super fun). I have played in 1st, 2nd, 3.5, pathfinder 1e and 5e both 2014 and 2024. I am up to answer anything. I will be dealing with appointments in about 2 hours so will answer when i can during that time.

I have no clue about D & D but have you ever heard of Castle Park in Jackson County, Illinois. It is a DnD themed park with a giant castle that is a playground with hidden tunnels and passage ways. We just took our kids there when visiting family and they loved it!

I feel like my teammate is stopping me from improving my game. (we’ve just started playing and only done it 3 time). Is there a way to escape him or do you have a great beginners tip overall?
As a longtime player/DM, what’s your opinion on the direction Hasbro has taken the game in over the past decade?
RaW, RaI or RoC?
This sounds like a wonderful career. Are you enjoying yourself?
Do you ever get sick of being DM and actually want to play? What happens then?
I got the stormwreck isles as a gift and plan my first time as a gm. It seems to require a lot of knowledge from me. How was your first time and which “story” was it?
I have not the first clue about DnD can you give me a basic breakdown so I’d understand the game ? Also, the lore behind it ? I heard u mentioned books, I know they have a tv series now too, how do you like it ?
I work with teenage kids and they want to play dnd. I will be gm, I played dnd couple of times and I played A LOT of rpg games, so I’m very familiar with the concept. How can I easiest and fastest learn the basics to start a session as a gm?
Have you tried Quest Portal for remote D&D?
Why won’t anyone answer when I ask what D&D is like and how I can start playing?
Dude, 1051 DR? Why did you choose to start so (relatively) early in the timeline of Faerun?
What’s your favorite class when you do play? And who was your first character?
My campaign has almost hit a year.
What do you do with players who complain about not being included, but never engage with the game?
What is your note taking system like? Do you write down recaps somewhere?
My most imminent issue rn is- I made an anti-magic rock for shits and giggles. My players have found a way to make it fucking OP. What do I do?? I can’t just take it away, they rightfully fought for it. I never thought they’d use it like they are, and I’m having a lot of trouble planning around it. Tldr- what do u do when u make an OP item?
