Sometimes I get this light, almost crampy pain in my lower abdomen—sometimes on the right side, sometimes on the left. I know it’s normal to feel this during ovulation when an ovary releases an egg, but I’m already in my post-ovulation phase and it still happens. It’s not super painful, just noticeable and a little uncomfortable. Is this something other people go through too, or should I be more concerned?

My wife was always laying down with a pillow under her butt to raise her abdomen. Tgat seemed to help a lot.
I’m familiar with ovary pain during ovulation but it never really lasts more than a couple of days, and during those days, it’s only noticeable a few times a day not constant. I’d say pain level 2/10 and disruption level 0/10.
If you’re feeling disrupted by the pain (as in, you’d rather not go to the gym to avoid pain, or you might include some heat pads or massage into your day to increase comfort) then you might want to speak to a female health doctor. There might be more to investigate such as PCOS or Endometriosis. It’s helpful if you keep a strict diary of when in your cycle and what time of day you feel pain and whether it interferes with your daily activities. It’s also helps when talking about pain to not diminish your pain just because you’re used to it or you can handle it. It’s so common for women to not believed in medicine, so stand your ground and be firm that you would like further investigations.
Good luck
I have endometriosis and pcos…(don’t know exactly what else at this point) but I often feel my ovaries achy before or after my period so sounds normal — unless it’s severe or alongside other symptoms or a general feeling unwell I wouldn’t worry too much
yes, woke me up in the middle of the night the last 2 nights had to pop some advil 😭 weirdly it helps if i do pelvic floor relaxation exercises
I’ve felt that too. I have a really regular cycle, normal periods and had no issue getting pregnant so I’ve just kind of shrugged it off as not worth worrying about but it is odd to feel that twinge when I’m positive I’ve already ovulated
It could be an ovarian cyst. I would mention it to your gyno if the pain is above a 2. They can come and go based on your cycle, but it can require surgery so important to monitor.
