Within reason, of course. Immunocompromised and children with weaker immune systems could get the treatment another way
That is what is already happening essentially. Have you ever spent any time around a kid in daycare? Literally always sick. That’s because that child is being exposed to lots of new germs and eventually they will build up a healthy immune system.
Schools, no.
Too much potential bullshit from parents. Additionally, schools are petri dishes to begin with. The younger the kids, the more germs they spread. Picking their noses, fingers in their mouths, putting things in their mouths, hands down their pants, coughing without covering their mouths, runny noses….. They don’t need to be taught this, kids will do it automatically.
As for non school – were pretty active and spend alot of time outside. And you only get to be a kid once. Mine will gladly get filthy outside, stomp thru creeks, play in the woods, dig, build forts, get covered in sand at the beach, swim, etc. The washer cleans clothes and the shower cleans the kids. Another upshot – bedtime rolls around and they go down like a ton of bricks.
No, I do not think schools “should teach” young children this.
Young children lick enough toys and their dirty fingers and playground equipment and doorknobs to know instinctively on their own how to naturally build up their own immune systems.
