I cussed out a teacher at a strict young ladies’ boarding school in the late 80s. Yeah…BAD idea.

    As for punishment?

The school had a cow barn with 12 cows – I believe for an agricultural education course.

If you acted up in class, you’d get detention, lines, the paddle…but the highest on the disciplinary ladder was “dairy doo-dy”

(Yes, they actually called it that).

You’d be sent to the cow barn at 5:30pm, about 30-60 minutes after the ag students had finished cleaning, and would be made to clean the barn of manure with bare hands (gloves/shovel/etc strictly forbidden, and the wheelbarrow stayed outside of each stall).

Honestly I didn’t take it as seriously as maybe I should have, I figured “it’s 12 cows and the barn had just been cleaned half an hour ago, how bad could it be?”

    Answer: very, very bad 🤮🤮

I did NOT make that mistake again.

One time my art teacher got mad at me for saying I had a couple Keith Harings at home when we were learning about him and recommended suspension to the office for disrupting class. My mom had to come and show pictures of the prints.

I don’t know why she hired me, to help her in front of class (biology).. Since I was popular/mascot at that time but less interested with studies

When I was in 1st grade, my dad had a short notice deployment to Kuwait. He was gone 9 months. She would take advantage of that fact, and scolded me, ignored me, sent me to the principals office, and even almost held me back a year, all because she is just cold hearted. My mom would not let that slide. She pulled me out of school for a week, and wouldn’t let me back until they switched my classes. The new teacher I got was really nice. She always had my back, she helped me with whatever I needed help with, and let me take 30 minutes to an hour of the day just to read to myself in a nice, quiet classroom down the hall. That last one is because she supported me and my reading level (6th Grade Level Books in 1st Grade) When my dad came back, everything went back to normal. Years later, my rap career is really kicking off, and I have a song in my album dedicated to that one teacher, who i will never forget for scarring me for life.

In 7th grade, I wrote a book report I was very proud of. When I got my paper back, she had written at the top “are you sure you wrote this.” 46 years later I’m still mad about it.

In 3rd grade she managed the classroom with fear. Need to use the restroom, lose a recess. 3 or 4 kids pissed themselves. Not paying attention, toss an eraser at the. She screamed so loudly, I’m surprised she could talk at the end of the day.

4th grade the old had would just demean and belittle any question or independent thought. Many years later I compared note with my older sister and she has memories of her awful methods.

In school I had a teacher blackmail me to sleep with her. I know it sounds cool but I honestly didn’t want to and it got bad. She started spreading rumours about me in the school, she called my parents to school about me being disruptive to the class while she was teaching etc… She basically made my life a living hell lol.

I had a teacher told me that she cannot even give me an F because it’s would be too high of a grade for work I’ve done.

She told me I wasn’t smart enough to take college honors classes because I dropped her english class. (Mind you I graduated with extra credits in english because it’s my favorite) So, when I went to college, I took an honors English class and passed with 110% because I worked my ass off and did all extra credit even though I didn’t need it. I went back after that semester and went to her for ā€œadviceā€ and pulled out my transcripts. Told her, ā€œI am not a bad student. You are just a terrible teacher.ā€ And walked away.

  22. Downtown_Dish6866 Avatar

As a teen I was always bad at math. Failed it almost every time. A geometry teacher was tutoring me after school one day. She was doing her best to explain the math problem to me, but I just didn’t get the concept. She said to me ā€œwhy don’t you understand?ā€ That wasn’t helpful at all.

Funny thing is now I’m an Accountant and work with numbers for a living.

My fourth grade teacher ripped up my homework and threw it at me due to my handwriting. My mother went to the school and he was reprimanded.

Later on, he was the Jr high football coach and held the previous grudge against me. I didn’t play again until high school.

He became the varsity coach after I graduated until he threw a helmet at the players during halftime.

I ran track, the basketball coach in 8th grade told me to my face that “He hated me”….and for no reason that my 8th grade mind could think of. It’s something that I never forgot. I only knew of him as Mr. Jones, I once tried to find him online, but finding a Mr. Jones in the city the size of the Chicago metro is an impossible task.

My kindergarten teacher hated me and bullied me because I was a witness kid. For my fellow exjws, y’all remember having to tell every teacher each year about how we couldn’t participate in certain celebrations throughout the year.

Anyway, she was a pastor’s wife who took her anger at the witnesses out on me as if I had a choice in the matter. I hope she’s in Heaven with Jesus giving her the lecture of a lifetime over what she did šŸ˜‚

Communications class. Students had to give short speeches about an unforgettable event in their life. A student with Down Syndrome got up in front of the class and talked about getting his first job at the Vista School (a local academy for kids with autism and other mental disorders). When he’s finished, the next speaker gets up and starts to prepare for her speech by writing her name on the board. She’s writing sloppily and from the back of he room my professor shouts “With handwriting like that you must have gone to the VISTA SCHOOL!”. Everyone in the class cringes. No one laughs. The Down syndrome kid has his jaw on the floor and tells my prof that his joke “Wasn’t very funny”. He dropped the class the next day.

Wasn’t really done “to me”, but when I was a sophomore in high school, a boy we all knew took his own life. The next day, with several students clearly in shock and grief, our Spanish teacher went on this awful rant about how “she hopes he got the attention he was wanting by doing this”. It was so tone deaf. Several students, including myself, walked out.

My 5th grade teacher gave me a Blow Pop for getting a good score on a quiz during the first week of school. We were allowed to eat them in class. I opened mine and started on it, and then we had to go to an assembly.

I was seated right near where the principal was speaking. He waited until I put the Blow Pop back in my mouth, and then came over, ripped it out of my mouth, threw it into the nearby trashcan, and admonished me over the microphone and in front of the entire school for having candy in class, especially when I needed to be cutting back on sugar anyway (a jab about my weight, as I had just hit puberty and gained quite a bit over the summer).

No one said anything then, and I silently cried through the rest of the assembly. Later though, several teachers went to him and called him out for how he’d treated me, and he came and gave me a halfhearted apology for taking the lollipop the next day. He did not apologize for the public humiliation, or for insulting a 10 year old for normal weight gain.

    Fuck you, Mr. Garlitz!

  33. aurora_ethereallight Avatar

Mr Carter chucked me out of English because the entire class was being rowdy. I actually wasn’t doing anything… he just picked on me and told me to get out. So I did. It actually shut the class up immediately because I was essentially the ‘well behaved one’ hahaha. He came out to see me after a few minùtes and apologised to me for singling me out of all people and explained he just lost it… to be fair the poor guy did look at the end of his rope. Bless him. No harm done.

Try to get be expelled from the school for whatever reason. I was a quiet kid but I took apart in classes and everytime I raised my hand she basically ignored me until she called a meeting with my mom and started complaining how I should basically “Do better.
Something inside of me snapped and I looked her dead into her eyes and said: “Miss, you literally flat out ignore me. What do you want me to do??? Yell out the answers?? Is that what you want? Quit ignoring me and act your age.”
She just starred at me in disbelief and the principle just started giggling like a little kid. She then tried to ruin my chance of getting hired when I applied to places which my mom did not take too kindly to.
Now I have escaped her and living my best life, sure I kind of got screwed over by her when I was applying but now I actually have a place lol
Hope her petty self is doing bad

Umm, so everyday, my teacher will pick on one kid in my class, and on monday, it had to be me. I was walking in the hallway, talking to my friend, and my teacher made me skip gym because of that. Guess what else? There was a group of 5 boys talking and moaning and stuff, and my teacher just picked on me.

In fifth grade I (M) had a teacher (F) offer me a dollar if she could lick my face. At the time, it seemed weird and made me uncomfortable, so I shook my head and nothing happened. Years later, I am like WTF?!?

  40. medusamagpie Avatar

My high school trig teacher took me out into the hall and said that college isn’t for everyone. I thought teachers were supposed to encourage learning? I took AP English in high school, got a honors certificate for language, and am currently in an MFA program. I’m still bad at math lol.

Probably the second thing was a teacher throwing a blackboard eraser at me even because I was talking but it wasn’t even me who was doing it. That would not fly these days.

  41. needfulthings416 Avatar

I had multiple teachers not let me use the washroom. Got in trouble multiple times for just ignoring them and leaving. This was before I knew I had Crohn’s. Hold it till recess was not an option. I guess this isn’t that bad compared to most but it really sucked.

  42. Jobin10 Avatar

My fifth grade teacher told me I was bad at math and gave me a C because I didn’t do notes for every problem on my tests. Joke is on her because this motivated me to try even harder on math, I only missed one question on my math SAT and got into the school that was a “longshot”.

  43. aloramiamora Avatar

I was the nerdy, studious kid. So when I cheated on my homework, she ratted me out to the whole class. To the teachers, etc. Made me apologize to everyone. Idk why she never liked me. I think it was a colorism thing. I was the only darker child in class. Even though she was brown herself too. But wanted to be yt passing so bad. One time, she complained to us 6th graders how she got racially profiled…
Another teacher would not let my kindergarten teacher use the restroom so she’d get UTI’s a lot. We took her to the superintendent of the school district. She apologized and would try to give my sister candy every morning.
Not a teacher but a dental hygienist. I was getting teeth removed, and I tried holding her hand, and she smacked my hand. And told me to hold my breath because I was moving my chest a lot. I was 8yrs old.

  44. La19909 Avatar

Tame compared to some of these stories.

In junior high, I was doing well in my classes and wanted to transition to the advanced English and math courses. I spoke to the counselor who talked me out of it. She basically insisted I would not do well. Later, in high school I was in the top ten of my class. I met with her to discuss career opportunities and she tried to push me into landscaping. Nothing at all wrong with that but in her eyes that was a lowly career – she was insisting I could not manage any of the fields I was interested in. Joke is on her. I went on and did well.

Still in college, a teacher made a comment in front of the whole class, even though I arrived late, so all eyes were on me, on the size of my breasts… Subsequently, this teacher was the target of other complaints for harassment and touching (fortunately I was not concerned) and of course he was just transferred

When I was in 4th grade I was sick quite frequently with upset stomachs. My teachers and the school thought I was faking it. They had a parent teacher conference and told my parents unless I threw up to send me to school anyway.

One day I wasn’t feeling well so I skipped breakfast. Got to school and threw up but it was just clear bile. The teacher claimed I held water in my mouth and spit it out. So despite the horrible smell she made me clean it up and wouldn’t let me go to the office.

  52. tuqois9 Avatar

One of my teachers had a big stash of expired wet cat food (I’m talking 3+ years old).

If you acted up or didn’t do your homework, she’d take you out back and “pie” you in the face with it.

    We did our homework.

(She always asked parents for “donations” too if anyone had cat food that had gone uneaten. She got a lot).

When I was in 6th grade, we were playing a game in PE class where when the teacher blew the whistle, you were supposed to let the stick go off in your hand and grab the stick left by your friend on the right. However, the friend on my right had not been given a stick. I tried to report this before the game started, but the teacher interrupted me and started shouting “You can’t infringe on the rights of the students by talking, shut it!” Then he blew his whistle and took me and my friend next to me out of the game. I tried to report the situation to the teacher again, but he made the PE room resound with noise and shouted “Shut your mouth and sit in the corner.” and threw his whistle on the ground. As someone who loved games at that time, I was very upset about this situation and sat and watched everyone else play during this time.

In six grade my teacher, who was a muscular man who’s done military service in the Middle East, asked me what I thought about the execution of Sadam Hussein (I guess cuz I was a hijabi) I didn’t find it weird back then but after I grew up I realized it’s inappropriate. I’m not even Iraqi..

Hormonal and pregnant, my gym teacher was irrationally upset I forgot my gym clothes. Normally you just write a report in lieu of gym class and accept a lower grade for the day when this happens. Not today. She told me to “get your ass to the office.” Well I gladly went and told the principal that she cussed at me. Except the principal accused me of lying, that the gym teacher would never say that, and then sent me to in school suspension the rest of the day. My mom also didn’t believe me that the gym teacher cussed at me so I was in trouble at home too, I got grounded for lying about a teacher.

Said I was fucked in the head and not normal. Tried convincing my parents I needed legal meth (basically what it is, don’t recall the technical name for it). If my parents caved in I wouldn’t have turned out to be the same person. I’m miles ahead of most my age. I’ll back the fact I’m not normal in some ways, the teachers just didn’t like how I didn’t enjoy class. This was like first grade.Ā

If I got put on that mess I wouldn’t have been able to enlist. Wouldn’t have met my now wife. Wouldn’t have the technical skills I have. More than likely would’ve turned out to be a hot mess like others that were put on the drugs (same teacher, different student(s)..

Now I’m 24, getting into wealth management, still dislike classroom settings.Ā

I’m very much against a lot of the pharmaceutical industry because of this, but within reason. Same reason the wife and I plan to homeschool, in a perfect world scenario.Ā

JROTC my freshman year, it was the first quarter and I was sick with the flu for 2 weeks. I was out of school trying to recover (that flu really kicked my ass.) the very first day I came back to school was apparently an ROTC uniform day. I show up to the class (my 1st period) and see that I’m the only one not in uniform. Our drill instructor wrote up a behavior referral and sent me to in-school suspension. I tried to argue with her (like how tf should I have known) and she didn’t care. Apparently is like every other Wednesday (or something like that) we have to be in uniform.

It’s a super lame story compared to most here but I was that kid that took pride in never getting in trouble, being that good little boy. She was the only reason I had ever gotten a behavior referral or ever been sent to ISS. My friends all cheered and patted me on the back, making jokes about me ā€œfinally being a bad boyā€ but I was devastated to know my squeaky clean permanent record had been forever soiled with this lone stain.

our 6th grade teacher was awful, terrible and held grudges against children who are (11-12) not even teens. She would take private tuitions for the students who needed help and make them do all the household chores.
I happened to visit one day for a dance practice and found my classmates doing chores – I instantly regretted visiting.

if any of them refuse or spoke against the work, their marks would be reduced considerably for no reason and told to call parents, saying wrong complaints against a 11-12 year old.

Grew up for a long time without saying no to any adult – with the fear that the punishment would be severe.

Yes my 2nd grade teacher Mrs Raneri .. was prolly the worst teacher I’ve ever had.. nasty and vicious old hag.. she retired immediately after that year… one day she was making the class organize our bins filled with worksheets. But mine wasn’t exactly par like the others bins and she got all upset thinking I was a slob.. she then took the bin and dumped it on my head and made me go out in the hallway to organize it .. she called my mother and she came to the school in outrage because this was teacher student harassment.. funny thing is all the other students loved her and said she was a good teacher but she never gave me a chance to speak in class. The minute I would open my mouth the whole class started laughing as she would cut me off. but she had to treat me differently than the most kids and thought I was the disabled kid which I clearly wasn’t.. I was just too cerebral.. telling my mother I needed to be on meds but I was way too young for meds as I was only 7 .. wherever she is I hope she’s living her worst life… oh and the principal of the school didn’t even do shit about the situation..

Had a teacher grab me by my wrist and throw me into the sitting circle with the other kids. She had nails and cut my wrist. 2nd grade.

Another teacher that would make fun of me in front of the whole class and encouraged kids to do the same. They already was but he never made them stop. He also to either put my desk in the all the way back or right up on the chalkboard. I need glasses so I couldn’t see from the back and he thought I was lying to him and he made me be in the front. He changed this often too. Never knew where my seat was often. He was my 3rd and 5th grade teacher.

And this was a bus driver, but still, she watched me stand up for myself one day against these 2 boys who would verbally bully me daily and one of the boys grabed me and threw me into the bus wall. Bloodied my nose. I got suspended from school by her kicking me off the bus for “causing a problem”. This also was probably 3rd grade. Maybe 4th.

In 7th grade, I had an English teacher who gave us a writing assignment. I thought she was cool and wanted to impress her. I spent days crafting a story about a ghost horse on the plains. Much longer than the assignment and I put hours into it. Turned it in and waited excitedly for her reaction.

Got it back and all it said on it.. “Is this original??”. Like she’d thought I copied it and cheated. I never wrote anything I didn’t have to again.

I had a teacher accuse me of throwing a spitwad at the chalk board. She drew a small circle on the board and made me stand up and hold my nose inside the circle for 5 minutes with my back to the class while everyone laughed at me.

I was in the front row and the entire class knew I wasn’t the one who threw a spitwad but since I was the only one being punished no one cared or fessed up. I’m still seething over it more than 30 years later.

That teacher had me in tears and even after getting my parents to call about the incident she was unrelenting and I never forgave her. I wouldn’t speak to her again.

That same year she won a Golden Apple award.

I was called up to the front of my entire 4th grade class and mocked by my teacher.

She encouraged the class to basically drag me to filth to humble me. She did this when a girl in class was either being a bully, stood up to her, being a know it all or in my case being the child of wealthy parents & stood up to her/advocated for myself. Basically at a slow time in the day (self stufy period), shed call up her victim and say something a long the lines of “so youve been giving your classmates/me trouble lately huh? you think thats ok? class, tell her what we really think about her”. And simply allowed insults from the sat students at their desks towards the girl, alone, standing in front of the whole class near the blackboard. Or something similar, as she too insulted literal kids. She basically allowed the class to insult whomever she decided to pick on. These girls, I realized, tended to be girls who didn’t tolerate BS especially hers, or someone who others were envious of (good grades, popular, pretty, long hair, wealthy parents, favored by the school board etc).

Jealousy is so ugly, especially when you choose to punish a child over it. Whenever I think back to it I realize how insane it was for a 40+ yr old to mock literal 9/10 yr olds. Good thing I was a brat a roasted her and the rest of the class back, even through my shaky voice and legs LOL.

This moment carries me through public speaking and standing up for myself in public. If i could survive that as a fetus, i can survive anything related to people-induced anxiety C:

First grade. Late seventies . I gave my umbrella to a crossing guard and had a blast running to school in the rain.

The teacher stood me in front of a mirror on the door to the coat room. He told me I was ugly and how dare I make the rest of them look at my ugly self. So now I have to stand there and look at myself.

I didn’t say a word for the rest of the school year. My parents never took my side, so I had learned by then that they wouldn’t help me. Didn’t even cross my mind to tell them.

In had a sub teacher for an entire semester in tech drawing. He spent the whole class sitting on his ass reading and just doling out assignments. There were two girls in front of me that needed help, so I spent a little time each day helping them to understand how the assignments worked. Basically the whole class was puzzling out what something looked like in different views from either a 3d or flat views, something my mind is attuned to.
Never heard anything from the teacher the whole time.
On the last day of class this teacher pulls me aside and tells me that I should get an A, but since I spent the whole time flirting with girls he dropped it to a B. It wasn’t the loss of grade or anything like that, at the time I could’ve cared less, it was the true bile he held for me, all the while he did nothing the whole time, I mean nothing.

Year 10 maths class. New school. Me in advanced maths (two years younger than anyone else which asshat teacher didn’t know).

This was at a posh private school I had transferred to after four years on a state school cos my parents wanted me ro get into uni (it was free but competitive where I lived at the time) but could only afford two years of v expensive fees.

We had a test which I clearly didn’t understand. I did not do well. This was at the very start of the 11th grade.

Mr asshat W let’s call him, handed out the results and then in front of everyone, announced that he didn’t support new students coming joining his class as their poor marks brought the class abd school average down.

I was the only new student in that class and I knew it was directed at me. I was a 14 year old kid. Anyway .. I went home, cried, my wonderful dad who happenedto be a maths teacher, helped me work out what o had misunderstood and I got a B in my next test.

I’ll never forget or forgive this asshat. He had no right to be teaching anyone, let alone very vunerable kids. I hated my new school with vengeance and only kept my thoughts to myself in account of how much my parents had paid for me to go there.

Come to think of it … we had another teacher who was probably grooming one of my friends. Her parents insisted on her changing classes on account of her close ā€œfriendshipā€ as a 16 yo with a 45 yo man. Fucked up school all around. Racist as hell too.

I had a prof in a small writing class (this one specifically paired with psychology themes) say something that really made me upset/shocked.

For a class discussion we had to share about our childhood- specifically anything that we struggled with, and all the things said in our class privately could be used as examples of cognitive dissonance/themes affecting childhood psychology…

Anyways shared that my parents split in a bad divorce that went from age 8.5-11, and my dad moved to Europe and married a rando online from a foreign country) (not anywhere near where he was abroad) without telling us/ she resented us kids, I never saw him much, and he didn’t answer his phone for 3 years while I was a preteen/teen.

    She- the professor, commented,

ā€œ I wonder if you’d learn better from male professors because you’re likely intimidated by men or uncomfortable around them. You should take the next series of classes with this ____(male named Prof in the dept)ā€.
Went on to say ā€œYour mom was probably exhausted and you don’t see women in the same level or light, which is why you probably hold more diligence to when a man is reaching out of maybe trying to prove yourself to a father aged figure or out of fear.ā€

I had an A in her class at the time but got a B at the end due to attendance, because after that I lost respect for her and used doctor notes to miss the course/mainly submit online.

*Also I do not have daddy issues, I always understood my dads pain/ that it wasn’t his choice, nor do I see myself respecting men professors more due to not having my dad around for my formative years. My dad and I are great the last decade+.

It just seemed like an incredibly rude assumption (I hadn’t ever disrespected her/was shocked by how she phrased this).

    - I see the theme it carried in psychology, but she phrased it without caution, and made it sound like an implied trait I carry, that is actually wrong, and incredibly offensive.

I wrote about it in an essay for my Gender in Global Perspective course, which was meant to be in confidence as per the assignment, but the professor later outed me to the whole class.

This same professor would later be fired after a Grad student took their own life while in an inappropriate one-off relationship with them. The Professor also died not too long after, shit was surreal.

While the whole year (third grade) was an absolute horror the two worst things were:

    1. Putting kids (mostly me, but not exclusively) into the hallway to sit on the floor while she continued teaching over some minor behavior thing (talking, fidgeting, laughing too loudly) but not immediately upon offending her. She’d wait until the older kids were on their way to lunch or recess so they’d kick you or step on you as they passed.

    2. It was a Catholic school so we’d have to go to church a couple times a week. Being kids we didn’t necessarily kneel at the pews perfectly and would oftentimes rest our butts on the pew.

Our instructional psychopath, Mrs. Shields, decided that we must have lead in our pants and pulled me and the two other boys to the front of the class and ordered us to pull them down to show the class that we didn’t have lead in them.

Yup. She ordered three young boys to pull their pants down in front of the class because they offended her delicate sensibilities.

Idk, obviously it struck something because I still remember 20 years later.

I got a tattoo in junior year on my foot of Simba on the tree as a cub. It’s a pretty sick tattoo. I had to wear flats because I couldn’t cover it up with a sock. My English teacher was so against tattoos and we were in a little program where we all had the same teachers and were in the same group. I remember one day she looked down at my foot in front of everybody and said how disgusting tattoos were and how I ruined my body for getting one. Everyone was like wtf? They didn’t agree, but man she tried her hardest to make me feel bad.

I was accused of stealing a jersey from the basketball team when the coach was supposed to give it to me but I was away that day of the hand outs. I wasn’t allowed to play without a jersey. I had a sick note I had witnesses, he just refused to believe that I didn’t receive the Jersey. Banned me from playing, gave me detention, made me cry, made my write lines. I felt so sad and secluded. My classmates called me a theif. I was so upset I became reclusive, depressed and at every opportunity I would cry and beg him to reason with me. Why would I steal a jersey that I was meant to wear for every game that I loved playing. At the end of the year it turns out my rival had taken the jersey ‘for me’ and kept it in her locker the whole time. She confessed to him but it was too late. He changed me, broke my spirit and I never played basketball again. She laughed, she got such satisfaction from what she had done. But I didn’t care about her issues with me. What really hurt me was my teacher didn’t believe me even with proof and he changed my life for the worst that year. I still feel hurt about it. I was in grade 7.

I can’t remember what class it was, but it was a creative subject. By that, I mean that there are no wrong answers in terms of how you do your project or what your project is about.

My teacher was quite sexist and homophobic, but always hid it when there was other staff around. He hated me because I was a girl, and because I like girls.

He took a keyring off my school bag (a purple crochet jellyfish my friend made for me to help with my anxiety) and said, “Is this special to you?” Of course I said yes, as it was made by a close friend. He then said, “Do you want me to keep it?” I said no, and he told me that I needed to fix my work (to be the way he wanted it) or else I wouldn’t see it again.

I will admit, I did start crying when he said that, and he put the keyring back on my bag while he laughed at me. He called for the rest of the class to look at me and then told me to “grow up” and to stop being a baby. In front of EVERYONE. I just sat there and cried for the last 10 minutes of the lesson.

Not to me, but to marginalized students because of me. Rural high school in Ohio. Back in 2008 I visited some recently graduated friends in college, and a local LGBTQ+ group was giving away shirts saying “Gay? Fine by me.” At the tender age of 16 I thought that was such a kind and inoffensive way to show support as an ally so I wore it to school on Monday. First period I had Government. The conservative Government teacher derailed his lesson plan for the day and decided to fill his entire whiteboard with inflammatory examples asking students “where is the line in the sand?” and included “Beastiality? Fine by me.” “Pedophilia? Fine by me.” “Incest? Fine by me.” and for the whole day, encouraged other students to write similar things they viewed should be equated with being anything other than strictly heterosexual. He left it up for a few days to really ram the point home. Multiple kids who came out after they graduated and felt safe to do so spoke out publicly against this guy over the years, but I’m pretty sure he still works there and is a coach for multiple sports. He also used to call liberals the devil and would burn in hell, said that kids who got free school lunches and grew up on welfare would never amount to anything and just be leeches that tax payers would be forced to carry. He said this to students, during class, in a school where a large percentage of the kids were on free or reduced lunch. He also said McCain was too moderate for him, but he’d still vote for him because Sarah Palin had nice legs. We’re now living in the America he wanted.

my elementary school teacher destroyed so much drive i had. i was always extremely bored, way ahead with everything and was yearning for knowledge. at home i would cry from the lack of stimulation and boredom. with another smart girl we asked our teacher for permission to work on a topic of our choosing in our spare time and to let us do a presentation of 20min some day. i was thrilled about the idea. i felt this was a step into growing up, academic behaviour, studying something, giving it back to my peers.

he said no because he had to look after the less advanced ones. we explained coaching was not expected. in fact we would be working instead of being clowns all day since we were always bored and teaming up with the wild ones. we did not get to do a single presentation.
