I am a 16 year old school nurse AMA

r/

Ok so I (16F) have been in an advanced health science charter academy program since freshman year. I am at the end of my sophomore year. The program is a pre med track that offers college credits to speed up the route toward med school. I want to be a doctor, but for now I am a certified EMT and high school student. This year I was offered and independent study opportunity to take an internship with the school nurse at our middle and high schools. I serve as a school nurse when the regular nurse is out, and her assistant while she is there. On monday afternoons I do this at the middle school, and on wednesday afternoons it is at my high school.

    What is a „freshman“ or „sophomore“ year?

What does liability look like as a minor if you cause harm to another student in the absence of the lead school nurse? Are your parents responsible for malpractice suits? Or is the school?
