I made my first Youtube video and went viral within a week, AMA!

Hey y’all!

I am Lumbersnacc Overdrive, and you may have seen my now-viral Youtube video blow up within the past week.

It’s honestly been such a whirlwind experience from the start. I’ve spent my life working a desk job and only recently decided to try my hand at Youtube channel, so the fact that it got traction so quickly was mind blowing! I’ve never gotten this amount of attention before so I’m just taking it one day at a time and appreciative in every moment. In this day and age I know it can take a long time to build up a following so I am forever grateful to everyone who has helped me along my journey.

The idea for the video was actually just a project to force me to learn all of the new hardware/software that goes into making a cover video. I had purchased a variety of new things that I had never used before, so this was a good “test” to walk me through each of the steps from beginning to end. I have recorded audio before but the mixer, DAW mixing/mastering, and everything relating to recording and editing video was brand new to me. When I got to the video portion I ended up having a number of visual gags that I couldn’t help but include, so that extended the time it took to complete the project. From start to finish, it was about a month of work total, along with working a full time day job.

I had a ton of fun with my first go-around and I’m already working on the next video with some really great ideas in store. With that said, ask me anything!

In case you haven’t seen it, here is the video:

Awesome cover!  What goes into the creative process when making a cover?  Did you spend more time on the music or comedic aspect of the video?  Can’t wait to see more!
