Not only near death,i actually died for 30 secs,no heartbeat no breathing.
I had severe alergic reaction on intravenous medicine that i got,on top of everything, before that i had a lot of alcohol (everything happend at a party)

Minutes after i got the medicine i just felt heatwave thru my body, couldn’t breathe, tingling in the face and arms.
Heartbeat was 170+ per minute, later i started losing consciousness few times,my heartbeat dropped to below 60 50 bpm ,eventually it completely stopped as well as breathing. What saved me is adrenaline and defibrillation.
Thru all this i just felt confusion and like im burning the whole time. There was no light ,i didnt see my grandpa or anything. It just felt as i lost consciousness again .

I was once in a dream where I was on a train that crashed into water off an unfinished bridge. Woke up startled when it hit the water. I’ve also driven a helicopter in a dream, and a motorcycle in an ecstasy induced ‘dream’. Except for the train, I have never occupied one of these modes of transport.

I was at a Wawa (gas station) and a bunch of cars pulled up to me and my friends and someone in one of the cars pointed a Glock at us and strobed the light and started laughing

On a busy freeway I once hit a snowbank at 80 miles an hour which flipped my sedan up high on two wheels. I had missed a turnoff and foolishly cut across the gore. I never expected a mountain of snow.

After the impact, the horizon suddenly tilted. And it happened so fast I didn’t have time to think about it.

    Fortunately I didn’t hit anything.

Had a parachute accident in 1977. We shared our barracks with two female riggers (although gender doesn’t matter for this story). Every weekend they would grab a case of beer and go off in the woods to party.

When my main chute cigarette rolled and I tossed my reserve in the wrong direction (not the correct direction of spin) and was falling my only thought was – “They were stoned when they packed this thing.”

Nothing else, no flashbacks, no bright lights, just pissed off anger.

Later, I found out it was a male rigger who packed the chute – and that it was my own fault. I jumped past the blast deflector on the C-141b I was jumping and fused some of my chute. Six months later I was back jumping again but never forgot that sensation and anger.

Not sure if this counts but I was eating pizza and started choking on some really stringy cheese. I couldn’t cough or say anything so I stuck my hand down my throat and started trying to pull it out. I finally got it and that’s when the 5 people I was with finally noticed I was in trouble

I had a brain infection in 2019. I was in and out of consciousness and was praying to die due to the amount of pain I was in.

I had my last rights read to me by a priest 2 times. I fell into a ravine and broke my back rib into my kidney and lung.

I almost bled to death, I had a venous thrombosis in my left leg, healing veins formed on the surface, especially one that was on the calf, one evening stading up from a chair with that exact part of the calf I touched a pointed part of the chair, i became a fountain of blood, I still remember what I felt, I felt 3 sensations together: nausea, feeling sleepy and the feeling of having to shit, the people who came with the ambulance found me barely awake, at that moment I was only thinking about my grandmother who lives with me, who was very scared, some of the people who arrived very kindly stayed with my grandmother to clean the blood accumulated on the floor , I take an anticoagulant, because of it it took longer than normal the blood to stop

I was almost in a high speed head on collision. I was in shock because the car came at me so fast that I didn’t have time to react. It was only avoided because the car coming at me, turned at the last moment. I was freaking out after, but when it was happening I was like “I think I’m going to die 😐”.

Yep! Flatlined 3 times while delivering my youngest…I will say that bleeding to death wasn’t a bad way to go oddly, peaceful. Of course I’m grateful I survived!

I went on a vacation to New Orleans for a week in August a few years ago with a bunch of friends for a birthday party.

I didn’t want to go because I knew it was going to be super hot and humid, but you can’t change someone’s birthday!

We drank, dances at the clubs, ate all the food, and by the 4th day my feet, legs, and ankles had swollen to the point that I could barely lift my legs. They were so heavy. It was hard to bend at the knees, and the only pair of shoes I could get on my feet were some flip flops. I couldn’t even go up stairs. It was incredibly painful.

I’d never had edema before when traveling, but I knew my sister had when she has flied. I called her when I got to the airport for the flight home and she asked if I was having a hard time breathing. My chest felt a bit tight, so I told her that and she told me to go to the ER. I was definitely not going to stay in NOLA, and all I wanted to do was go home.

My seat was in an exit row with a flight attendant flip-down seat in front of me. I was tired, so I knew I would go to sleep quickly. Right before I fell asleep I had this thought that I was going to die. I almost asked the flight attendant to tell my family I loved them if I didn’t wake back up. I dismissed it as an absolutely ridiculous thought.

I mentioned this to my sister when I got home and she said she felt the exact same way right before she was rushed to the ER for a pulmonary embolism.

She told me that she had read somewhere that women who are about to have a pulmonary embolism have this 6th sense that they’re going to die.

Thankfully nothing happened, but now I always wear compression socks, use a foot hammock, and move my feet around during flights.

I accidentally saved my own life. When I was a kid we lived in an terraced house with a chimney. Apparently if they are not clean gas can back up and kill you (i didn’t know this and still not sure how). I not sure how old I was but definitely primary school age I was about to go to bed when I noticed it smelt bad. I got my mum and she instantly freaked out got my dad and I didn’t sleep in there that night. A chimney cleaner came the next day and the smell went.

There was something I was eating and I was choking on it really badly and it was impossible for me to speak. I was in a school bus. I genuinely thought I was gonna die because I could feel the oxygen leaving my body and I can’t breathe. I tried to ask for water helplessly and somehow I finally got some water to drink quickly and I was kinda saved.

Another event probably includes when I was about 7 ish and me and my family were at a temple. Outside, we were crossing a road. I crossed alone, and a bike was literal centimeters away from hitting me, going at a very fast speed.

I collapsed on the street walking to work. Fortunately, a man walking by called 911. I was rushed to the hospital. It was a pulmonary embolism. I felt extremely tired and weak that morning. Luckily, I forced myself to go to my office. I likely would have died if I hadn’t.

first time, I nearly got his by a car, it drove over my foot. I can’t quite remember what I thought, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t really think anything special, just that I could have probably died if I was a little further ahead.

another time a car stopped right before it hit me. I was in a hurry, so I didn’t really think about it like at all.

in a dream, I had a guy chase me with a hammer. I was excited. the dream at some point also changed into that situation being just me playing a video game.

Had a kidney infection. Had a high fever. Was convinced I needed to keep my head straight so my melting brain wouldn’t run out. Guess it worked.
