I have a neighbor who has a walkway (his property) between our property that extends the length of our homes to his backyard. Walkway is probably 40in wide at most and is not an easement. In the past (20+ yrs) he had a gate installed and as you can that is also half mounted to my property.
About 6 months ago I noticed a camera mounted on my property (halfway down the walkway that I can’t get to because of the locked gate) that is facing towards the gate. I asked why it needed to be mounted on my property and my neighbor explained if he mounted on his property the camera wouldn’t turn in such a way to face the gate. I couldn’t understand why and I suggested he get a bracket to mount on his property and then mount his camera on the bracket. I told him he would need to remove it asap and he agreed to remove the camera off my property… fast forward, just the other day 3/24/2025 | noticed he mounted it back on my property without consent.
Anyone with a solution here or legal action I can/should take? Thank you.
FY, the gate also has no official consent from me to be mounted, out of good faith I understand the security but now I may think twice of the gate.
