What is a sign of low intelligence?

Comments

Not being able to handle different/conflicting opinions of other related to the media they are into. Along with not really having any arguments/opinions of their own.

  2. CloudedGlen_55 Avatar

Believing you’re always the smartest person in the room. True intelligence knows there’s always something new to learn.

  6. GandalfTheJaded Avatar

Unwilling to learn from mistakes or new information

  7. Spicy_Darling Avatar

Not being able to admit when they’re wrong. I used to date this guy who would rather start a huge argument than just say oh my bad when he made a simple mistake. The relationship lasted 3 months too long.

For this example let’s use somebody called Flex.

  21. village-asshole Avatar

Someone who claims they can “fix the economy, stop the war, etc….” ON DAY ONE!

  22. sitophilicsquirrel Avatar

Usually in my experience when people claim the title of intelligent or smart they’re usually pretty locked into the idea that they’re right- which tends to be pretty antithetical to learning or adapting to new info…

A near constant confidence in one’s own judgement.

    Limited vocabulary.

A pretty sizable percentage of the population go through life with a vocabulary of 2,000 words or less. Given that we think verbally, imagine how debilitating a limited vocabulary can be.

  60. Xc0liber Avatar

Depends on what you mean by intelligence.

Dude who is great at making money but can’t wipe his own ass, is that intelligence?

Dude who can survive in the woods but can’t hold a job, is that intelligence?

Dude who is great at solving mechanical problems but suck at human interaction, is that intelligence?

It depends on what you are asking before anyone can really answer.

  69. Turbulent-Name-8349 Avatar

I know a person who is unintelligent but not stupid. The primary sign is repetition, saying the same thing over and over again. Inability to handle if – then – else.

A person may be unintelligent and have curiosity, or unintelligent and have the ability to make the best decision.

A person may be intelligent and stupid. They’re not opposites.
