I mean, if Historians themselves and plenty of historical evidence weren’t able to convince them, who are you to do so

I try to realize that people are too completely stupid to study history, and science, I cannot possibly dumb down my comments enough for them to understand
When I want to have a conversation with someone that cannot possibly comprehend the language, I just talked to my dogs. At least then when they look at me with that stupid look on their face, I don’t want to choke the shit out of them, it’s cute when they do it.

When trying to educate an idiot the casual observer won’t know who’s the educator and who’s the idiot.
Most of those people are just trying to get a reaction. State a couple facts and if they show signs they’re not wanting to be reasonable move on.

As Mama Gump once said, “stupid is as stupid does” and any who act like the Holocaust never happened they’re just stupid and ignorant.
As with any argument first you have to make sure whoever you’re arguing with is using the same terminology with the same definitions as you are. Where to many people the term “Holocaust denier” is one who denies wholly that the Holocaust as an event ever occurred at all, to others they think that “Holocaust denier” is just somebody who doesn’t agree on certain parts of the Holocaust.
Secondly, if you truly want to arm yourself with enough of their information to properly counter their information, you should try to read what they have read that makes them think what they do. I will not share that here, however, because doing so could get me into trouble.
Be mindful that the very fact that sharing such information could get us into trouble will make them hold onto their beliefs even more strongly.
But that is the way it goes. The world today loves censorship.

The pile of shoes and suitcases and human hair has a way of changing people’s minds about what happened.
You can’t. But if they would read, the books of Edith Eger, Elie Wiesel, and Victor Frankl might make them weep. Or not, if they’re that blind, ignorannt, and obstinate.
I think the only thing that would convince a disbeliever is if/when it happens again… and it happens to them.
Thankfully I’ve never met one. But, if it ever happens, I’ll laugh at them and walk away. They’re too thick to comprehend something so sinister.
I don’t remember how the subject came up, but I was talking to a group once and the conversation was about how much energy it takes to mine a bitcoin, which is a lot. He looked at me with 100% seriousness and said you know those are electronic and they’re not actually mined…right?
I still cannot talk to him…but I’m dying to know if he ever actually Googled the details and realized how wrong he was. Maybe that’s fake news too these days…
