A year and a half ago I gave my little brother some money so he could buy some acid off of his friend and have a fun weekend. The mix of acid and the other medications he was on caused his heart to throw a clot, the clot caused him to have a massive brain stem stroke. He ended up being paralyzed on his right side and died 4 months ago, last week my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in her lymph nodes and stage 4 breast cancer, she found a lump in her breasts around the time my brother had his stroke. She wasn’t able to get it looked at and forgot about it because she was too busy helping take care of my brother

I know it may seem like an easy conclusion to say it was your fault but it wasn’t. You are not responsible for your brother’s choices and he probably would have gotten the money to do acid from other places anyways. Fundamentally there was a lack of education on how the drug could affect him. It can be shocking to feel like you’re losing everyone you love all at once but it wasn’t your fault. The best thing for you to do is to stick by your mom and hope the best for her.
Oh. This isn’t your fault. Your brother would have gotten the money somewhere else. You didn’t force him to buy and take acid. Just like you didn’t cause your mother’s cancer. This is not your fault.
praying for your peace of mind dear buddy!
Don’t write your mom off yet. My wife got a devastating breast cancer diagnosis 15 years ago and she’s sitting next to me. The new treatments are incredible. It’s not an easy journey but it might not be a death sentence either.
LSD would not have had anything to do with him having a blood clot. None whatsoever. Even if you gave him money for something that did, it still wouldn’t be your fault, but LSD interacts with the nervous system, it has no role in cardiovascular systems at all, it was either something else he was on, or a coiencidence, so please try and let go of whatever guilt you have because it’s not on you.
