    Started counting calories. I’m not super restrictive or anything like that, but having an idea of how much I’m eating has helped me control overeating and has helped me control my weight.

    Doing 50 squats daily, it’s a life changer…trust me you will feel the change immediately…

    I had to learn how to take a compliment and also learn how to give compliments. How did it start?

    My parents are good people but very pragmatic. There were not compliments for the basic expectations. No, “good job” for getting all As. Why? It’s the basic expectation. I got into adulthood and a team lead at work and realized I was stunted in this area of adulting. Wife had been saying for a while I need to be complimentary and stop be self-deprecating when I’m given a compliment. It started with her and her patience. She would literally say. “You look nice today. Now, say thank you and say something nice to me.” It gets easier. Especially with someone who understands. The other day she complete a long term project. I told her I was proud of her and meant it. She cried.

    Men, you should be more complimentary. Especially to your partners and children.

    Learning how to cook healthy but delicious meals for myself. My health improved a lot in doing so. I would often make big portions on the weekend and portion them out for the week so that all I had to do was reheat leftovers when I arrive home from work. Because I’m usually in no mood to cook after working all day.

    I started doing this because I had a yearning to try many different dishes from all over the world. But in the city that I live in, they were difficult to find since cuisine options here are not so diverse. So learning how to make them myself was a way to experience different dishes. And in doing so, my health also improved since I wasn’t relying on takeout which meant that I could control what went into these dishes.

    Stretching, I would never stretch but as I’m getting older my body feels WAY better now that I stretch. I do static and dynamic stretching. All these nagging injuries I have with my body are slowly going away. I start it after my doctor visit she was straight up and told me I need physical therapy which involves a lot of stretching. I stretch almost everyday day 20-30 minutes

    • drink a glass of water when you wake up. – your body will wake up faster
    • go running for 1h + shower. -I sit way to much. cardio, air, sun, will wake up your body and prevent depression
    • I don’t like coffee, so after the shower I go for a multivitamin or magnesium effervescent tablet +1 coffein pill

    I woke up, in a age where body parts starts aching randomly. fuck it, I will not be a sad, depressed potato. starts routine.

    Working out 4-6 times a week.

    Walking during breaks or for leisure or walking to places without using a car (I’m in a city).

    Eating healthier/counting calories and macros and getting adventurous with cooking a few new meals a week.

    Replace video gaming / doom-scrolling / porn with reading / learning a new skill. Turn the learning into a game itself. Leveling up.
