How should I go about buying my first pair of cowboy boots?

r/

Should I just try them on and see which one fits the best and is there anything else I should know? Also, how would I go about waterproofing them and/or breaking them in?

Buy them a little loose, and wear heavy socks if your feet move around too much. Tight shoes are not comfortable…pardner.

Cowboy boots are a commitment. They’re not as practical as modern work or hiking boots, they just look a lot better. I use mink oil to waterproof leather. Wear them all the time, and tell your feet to put up with it. Also, buy bootcut jeans or leather pants to wear with them. Good luck.

Trying on cowboy boots is like dating; it’s all about finding the right fit! If they pinch more than your Aunt Edna’s hugs, it’s time to move on. And when it comes to waterproofing, just remember: if you can’t dance in the rain, maybe invest in some fancy boot spray!

You should definitely buy some red cowboy boots.
You could totally pull it off!
