Do mobile game companies get paid more based on how difficult it is to close an ad?

r/

I’ve been playing a new game called Daily Themed Crosswords and I swear it has never been this hard to close an ad. I’ll aim in the middle of the x and still my phone thinks I’m clicking on the ad about half the time. It’s so frustrating and I don’t recall it ever being so difficult before. So I was wondering if it’s something some companies do intentionally in order to get paid more.

It’s because that X is not actually and X it’s apart of the ad, you have to wait for the actual X to pop up.

Depending on where the ad takes you, could benefit the company whose ad it is more. Some pages get kick backs for traffic. And applications on the stores get better standings if they have higher traffic.

The longer you view it the more they generally get paid.

Android tip, a lot of ads can be skipped by going home, then opening the app again (can’t be from recent apps).

So I have the app on my home screen and can go home & reopen it within half a second, and the ad is magically gone.

Only in the sense that more people are likely to accidentally click on an ad.
