Not sure if this is the right place to ask but… why would someone steal a sunroof?
I never use my sunroof and noticed my car was wet (it was raining), looked up and saw the glass was completely gone.
I don’t see any glass shards nor do I see any signs of the glass being forcefully removed, it’s just gone. Nothing was taken out of my car which is also very suspicious.
I guess I’d like to ask if this is a normal thing people steal. Is it easy to remove the sunroof without leaving marks? Could the glass somehow fallen into the mechanism?
It definitely didn’t fall out while driving because it’s been raining and today is the only day it’s been wet, and I haven’t driven in a couple of days. It just seems very strange 💀💀

I don’t think so, first I’ve ever heard of it. That’s way too involved to do without raising suspicion. Did someone else drive your car and they left it open by chance? Did you try closing?
It’s probably just open and not retracting back. I don’t see how it’d be possible to steal a sunroof window without any noticeable damage?
This is the first time I’ve ever heard of a sunroof being taken without any evidence being left behind, so I would say no it’s not normally stolen by people, because I do not see how anybody would use it and I think the manufacturers are the only people with the equipment capable enough to turn a normal roof into a sunroof. Now unless somebody wields that technology or just wants to collect sunroof glass for a weird reason, it’s probably a new thief trend.
I have no idea how this would even be possible. I would say this is a pro job. The person who did this does auto glass work for a living.
Looks like someone else needed it ,stolen to order
Wow…
It’s rather impressive they could get it out. When you buy a used sunroof they cut the whole roof off the donor car and give it to you to make sure it’s your fault when it breaks.
Are you sure it’s not still in there ard somehow disconnected from the mechanism?
I had a 1981 Corvette. I had the t tops stolen 3 times…..it was frustrating as hell
if you don’t have T roof locks they’ll be gone
