I live in NZ and my partner is in a different country and he hangs out with his friends which is cool but I don’t have friends and I think it would be cool to try out having a little pen pal friend but I don’t know if people even still do that anymore cause of the quick and easy ability to just message people.

I have a “pen pal” in Germany, I’m in Australia.
We use Snapchat to communicate every few days with pics and text.
I’m in Chicago my pen pal is in New York. We met off a pen pal website when we were young. We never added each other on social media because I don’t have any lol. (Besides Reddit now lol) But we have met a few times. She is my age. And fun! We use stickers and decorate them with photos!

Yeah people still do it, for real. It’s not super common but there’s def a bunch of folks out there into old school pen pals—some just for fun, others for deep convos or cultural exchange. There’s even Reddit subs and websites like PenPal World or Slowly where you can meet people who actually want to write letters or long messages. Totally worth a shot if you’re feelin a little disconnected.
Oh, how I wish I had a pen pal in my adult life 😂😂
