Why are thin people called “skinny”? Wouldn’t it make sense to call fat people “skinny” because they have a lot more skin?
I figure it came from ‘skin and bones’, an old way to describe someone who is very thin.
Square cube law. A larger object has a smaller surface to interior ratio. So a fat person has more skin, But less skin as a ratio to the rest of their body.
Technically fat people have more fat than skin. There is a mathematical formula for volume vs surface area that proves that.
SKINFUL
Speaking as Fat Bastard myself, I’m happy with the description of Lardy.
Fat people can be called “meaty”. They have a lot more meat.
Thin people can be called “skinny”. Their skins are more visible.
I’m going with skin to body ratio
Because really thin people look like little more than skin and bone.
i’ve enjoyed your question very much
They’re skinee.
