Update:
Hey, I know my post didn’t did that much traction, but I did recently get some more news that I thought I should share with those who previously saw my post. Sorry if this update’s kinda long. So I have now completely cut off Julie, and it has come to light that she lied about nearly everything.
She told a close friend of mine, Camile, about the situation with the trip (I’m not sure why, Julie’s not even friends with Camile), but she told Camile complete lies about our trip. For instance, when Julie was pouting because we wouldn’t do one thing she wanted to do, she told Camile that we were actually the ones doing everything we want and that we kicked Julie out and made her go off by herself. This DID NOT. happen. After almost an hour of pouting Julie came to us and said if we were okay with it she wanted to take time to be by herself. We told her that was fine and to just stay in touch. I even have the texts to prove that’s how the conversation went.
Camile came to me and asked me if what Julie said was true because it didn’t sound like Tammy or I, and I told her what really happened. Camile said she was shocked how much Julie changed the story, and she knew that it did not sound like something we would do.
After all of the lies about the trip coming to light. Tammy and I did some more asking around and found out that Julie not only lied about the trip, but also about things we had told her and things she had told us. Julie lied about being harassed by a guy we all supported her through. She lied to others about my relationship with a guy I had a brief talking stage with, and worst of all she lied completely about two people we know hooking up. There had been a rumor going around about two people we all know hooking up in very inappropriate locations leading them to be ostracized, but it turns out Julie had a grudge at them for some reason and made the whole thing up.
I cannot believe how much of our friendship was based on lies and how much I used to trust Julie. I am so scared that she will start even worse rumors about Tammy and I after all of this.
