Went No Contact with my parents in August 2024 when they started claiming my best friend, R, was a liar and trying to “drive a wedge” in the family. When I told my parents to speak to R, they refused and got nasty. And kept escalating and escalating. So I went No Contact.
Fast forward to now I visited home and didn’t tell my sister who I was LC with. After my return, she set her chihuahua of a friend on me who felt the need to comment on old Facebook posts. When a separate friend, M, went off on him, there was alot of back and forth, but he told her to “Eat sht and die” and also called her a “Wh*e”
So after sitting on it for a few days, I went No Contact with her as well.
I was a little messy and decided to share my side of the whole story on my facebook. My dad popped off to my MIL and BIL for no reason trying to get a rise out of R. He’s blocked on my end so I don’t see anything until someone sends it to me.
I’m so glad I live 15 hours away and I have left behind the toxicity.
Oh and why are my parents mad at R? She told me of a racist comment that the Chihuahua said. That’s it. They have now deemed her a liar and feel that I should drop my friend of 20 years.
BTW, I’m white and my husband is black.
