This song has been haunting me.
The best way I can describe it is a hybrid between Rusted Root’s Send me on my way and something from Paul Simon’s album Graceland.
It has that African beat to it and a sort of upbeat feel to the song but kind of melancholy vocals and the singer has a “wailing” quality similar to David Byrne from Talking Heads.
I had convinced myself it was used in a big scene in Scrubs (like a finale) but having listened to the soundtrack I can’t find it.
Must be from a show of the same style/era.
Any and all suggestions are hugely welcome as I’m losing sleep over this damn song.
