At 26, after a whole life of being told “He has so much potential if he just applied himself,” always feeling more energetic and talkative than others, being easily distractable, and missing important deadlines because I just forgot, I decided to get tested for ADHD. Turns out I have both kinds, or combined ADHD. Can only imagine where I’d be now if I had realized that earlier in life, and was able to take steps towards managing it earlier.

I have a massive all or nothing mentality.

I didn’t realize it at first but I would lose like 130 pounds in 8 months, and then stop because I fucked up. Gain 60 back, lose 40 in a month, gain 20 back. Turns out I can’t handle specialized diets like intermittent fasting and keto, because I wouldn’t do it with children in the picture, so i am working to make smaller life long changes for weight loss rather than trying to make it a race.

I lost who I was committing to a marriage that was one sided. She told me I “didn’t do enough” to deserve sex. Decided to leave her in that moment and left when I became financially secure enough to do so.
