For women who compete in sports professionally or recreationally, how does your menstrual cycle impact your physical performance?

Have you ever had a competition, race, or major event line up with a difficult part of your cycle? If so, how did it affect your performance?

Do you or your coaches ever adjust training or competition strategies around your cycle?

Have you ever used any hormonal treatments or other methods to manage the timing of your period for peak performance/events?

    I used to do pole dance and in the few days before and during my period, my whole body just had a lower pain tolerance, especially my skin, which is used for grip. I struggled with moves that I could do fine during the rest of my cycle.
