So, I had like 150 passengers today! Helped them get from A to B!

I didn’t actually count how many, but I drove a bus from 6:30 until 13:30. Sort of 20-25 minute trips, with 5 to 10 minute breaks each trip, 2 larger 20 minute breaks near the end of my shift. So, pretty sure had between 150 and 200 passengers in total.

I prefer to work most Sundays & Holidays, because they pay time & a half!

Had brought a turkey sandwich from home, for lunch and 2 bottles of water too…

Been driving buses for over 30 years!

How was your Sunday? How important is bus service in your life?

If it weren’t for public transit, I’m not sure what my life would look like right now. Busses have allowed me to get to work when I didn’t have a car or when my car was broken, they’ve helped me get to school, they’ve given me a freedom of mobility that is impossible to put into words. Thank you for doing what you do!

I only took a bus ride once in the last 10 years, to be honest. I live in a small town, and I rather just walk everywhere, or drive a car if I need to get into the city. I do love buses tho’. I’m a truck driver myself, but my company has a huge fleet of buses. Just recently I sat in the drivers seat in one of them, and felt like I was a kid again. Seriously, that moment made my whole day.
