As the title pretty much explains it, I fucked up by accidentally letting my friends know I’m a mm.
Was hanging with my college buddies doing our usual Monday thing like drinking beers, bad jokes, sports arguments all that stuff. All normal until my friend asked to see that hiking pic from last weekend.
I pull up my phone to show him and start scrolling through my gallery. Found the pic, handed him my phone, and he passes it around. When the last person goes to give it back, they removed the photos app after seeing the photos and then the Binance app was there cuz my dumbass self forgot to close it down.
My buddy literally froze and he started saying ‘Dude is this shit real? 2.2M in crypto?’. I froze, but then I tried to laugh it off and changing the subject, but nah no chance. Then he told me other 2 friends that were on the table and they were shocked.
I just don’t want them to think I’m in a whole different standard compared to them cuz I’m afraid they will start to distance or even start asking for money. I just don’t know what to do
TL;DR: my friends now know I’m a millionaire

tell them you got hacked and lost it all?
and now you fucked up by letting us know, i’ve dmed u my cashapp
Split the money equally amongst the friends. Problem solved.
a) yeah, that was dumb. but
b) if it’s not realized gains all you have is a valuable semi-liquid asset. No net cash. Make sure you make that point if they start assuming you’re going to start paying for shit.
You’re about to learn how good of friends they actually are. Real friends, this wont change anything about your friendship with each other
Sure you did. Or perhaps if was all those Jackpot City wins?
Looks like OP is covering the tab for the foreseeable future
Stop selling drugs on the dark web
this is te point to figure out the “real friends” đ
Tell them while its crypto its just pretend money and if I was you I’d make it real money before it shits out.
we truly do live in a world where I accidentally let my friends know Iâm a multi millionaire
If it were me, I probably wouldnât acknowledge it at all. Your finances are private, and no one’s entitled to a breakdown just because they caught a glimpse of a number on your screen.
If it comes up again, something like “look, I donât talk about money because it’s personal and I’d rather keep it that way” is more than enough.
You donât owe anyone an explanation. The other angle would be to go plausible deniability – say that yes it’s a big number but it’s a simulator account that you have been messing around with different crypto trading strategies without risking real cash. They might not buy it but it’s a plausible enough explanation and shuts the door down, you don’t need to prove it’s a simulated account.
You get new friends if they make it weird and make sure your locks are good.
Cousin!! Want to go bowling?
Don’t worry, it might be worth just 30 cents by tomorrow. đ
Can we talk?i have a great investment opportunity for you
I never got how anyone is comfortable handing out an unlocked phone to anyone else. I rarely do it with family, never mind friends.
Also, what kind of jerk receives trust from a friend and betrays it by sticking his nose anywhere he pleases? The real world equivalent would be to be invited to lunch and going to examine the contents of the bedroom.
Hi, I’m your long lost mom, Jessica Alba Smuhters , I could use some help, son!
Oh boy, this totally doesn’t feel like some kind of bot ad for crypto. You mean I could be a MM (multi millionaire for you plebs) if I bought into crypto?! Wow, I’d better invest in buttcoin today!
Keep us updated. Really looking forward to the next 10 installments of this binance advert
I question how much your âfriendsâ are actually friends if youâre losing your shit because they found out you have money.
It’s okay. Can I borrow a couple hundred thou?
I can send you my venmo
If you are worried your friends are gonna change cuz of your success then they arenât very good friends.
