I have noticed the podcasts that I follow closely start to do more and more “live taping” on Youtube and just air the show as is without any editing. Although it is fun to watch the live reaction of the hosts, sometimes they can be incredibly rambling and frustrating to listen to. I wish podcasts do more editing and trim the fat a bit.

There are lots of highly produced and edited podcasts so this isn’t really a criticism of podcasts in general so much as the specific shows you listen to.
I’m sure if you listed the podcasts you listen to your “The podcasts I listen to suck” take would be wildly popular.

If you cut out all the boring bullshit they’d be 3 seconds long.
I’m one of those people that hate the “live” podcasts. I always wait to watch any of it until they edit them down into the different subjects they spoke about. Another part of the live ones that not everyone does is the “hi X”.. sigh, that is SUCH a waste of time and just makes it last longer
